2025 Wedding Trends (part two)

In the 2025 Wedding Trends report released by Hitched, https://www.hitched.co.uk we see the shift in wedding trends is moving away from sleek and chic and more towards bold and colourful. In the second of this three-part series, I explore how these trends can inspire you. They can be incorporated into your wedding day to ensure you have the day of your dreams and memories that will last a lifetime!

Flowers for a wedding? Groundbreaking? “Not exactly”, I hear you say but in 2025, they truly are, as the floral wedding dress has been reimagined for modern nearlyweds. The wedding fashion show runways have been awash with fresh takes on floral wedding dresses.

Think hand-painted petals on luxurious fabric, 3D flowers adding volume and texture, and intricate beaded florals. This 2025 wedding trend goes beyond simply choosing a floral wedding dress.

Elevate this 2025 wedding trend look by incorporating florals into every aspect of your ensemble. Whether you opt for a subtle touch or full floral eleganza, consider accessories like veils, overskirts, belts, shoes, and other accents to complement this trend. The versatility of bold floral designs spans from striking appliqué to boho styles and timeless classical prints.

Boys, this means you too!

Searches for ‘tuxedo for wedding’ have risen by almost 25% since last year, with more nearlyweds embracing a glamorous, American-inspired look for their wedding suits.

Tuxedos offer a versatile option that’s formal yet slightly more relaxed than the traditional British morning suit. This trend indicates a shift towards a more glamorous, formal aesthetic in 2025 weddings. Couples are incorporating this look into various aspects of their wedding, from the photographer and videographer to stationery and decorations.

You might choose to have just the wedding party in tuxedos or go all out with a black-tie dress code. Wedding dress codes are becoming increasingly popular. Consider unique colourways, alternative fabrics, or personalized accessories to make the trend your own.

Last year’s hot trend was film wedding photography, and this year it’s all about wedding films! Searches for ‘wedding video’ have surged over 170% as couples increasingly see the value in capturing their magical moments on film to relive over and over.

The rising popularity of wedding videos and content creators highlights a growing awareness among nearlyweds about preserving every detail of their big day.

There’s a style to fit every taste, whether you are looking for retro Super 8 or classic, to documentary-style films, and even teaser snippets for socials, all centred on giving that ‘main character’ energy.
