Pre-planning your funeral...

Your funeral is one of life’s biggest events, if not the biggest. It’s certainly the only one we cannot avoid, yet many of us avoid talking about it until it’s too late.

For that reason, many don’t consider speaking to a Celebrant until they need one. In reality, most Funeral Celebrants would be happy to sit down with you and provide no-obligation advice about your options. Indeed, when it comes to funerals, there are more choices than people often realise.

Whether you want to follow a theme that reflects your interests, be laid to rest in a natural setting, have a service in your own home or the great outdoors, have a send off that goes with a bang, as your Celebrant I will be happy to assist.

My Funeral Wishlist

Getting your funeral right, choosing a funeral director who belongs to a trade association and a qualified celebrant who will reflect your wishes and your choices can give you great peace of mind. To help you think about the kind of funeral you would like, I recommend filling in My Funeral Wishlist in the company of others, to initiate a conversation about your funeral and theirs.

I would love to help.

Developing plans now will help your relatives and friends make important decisions, with certainty, at a time of great distress and upset.

Think of it as an act of thoughtfulness and caring. Your funeral can reflect you and your wishes. The statements on the My Funeral Wishlist are designed to start conversations, but you may end up with something the form doesn’t directly suggest.

The choice is yours and I would love to help. Please contact me if you have any questions or would like further advice.

Living Eulogy

You may also want to consider planning your Eulogy. Rather than a tribute being collated and written after you have died (which of course you will never hear), a Living Eulogy can be co-created with you involved. Members of your family and friends can also contribute and the tribute can be read and appreciated while you are with them.

I will meet with you to hear your life story as you would like it to be told. The funeral service will then be written and checked with you. You will get 2 copies of the funeral service, one to keep with your last will and testament, the other to hand to your next-of-kin. Please contact me for further details, I would love to help.
