Mini wedding dresses have gained popularity in recent years, boosted by endorsements from celebrity brides like Sophie Habboo and Kourtney Kardashian. Although this trend has been building, 2025 looks to be the year of the mini….I love it! Searches for this type of wedding dress are up 233% year on year!
Shorter wedding dresses are perfect for both main gowns and as a second dress. The versatility of mini dresses, especially those with overskirts for a two-in-one look, appeals to many. This chic mini dress aesthetic is a hit with modern, fashion-forward nearlyweds.
Mini wedding dresses come in many styles, so consider adding a touch of your own personality with feather trims, sparkling sequins, or long trains. Their versatility also makes them ideal for engagement parties, hen dos, and evening receptions.
2025 Wedding Trends no 8: Micro Weddings
Micro weddings are making a strong comeback! Couples are looking to save money and prioritize quality over quantity. With over 1,000 searches a month, intimate weddings are back with a bang, featuring cosy venues, sophisticated menus, and lavish celebrations for just your nearest and dearest, reminiscent of a dinner party or garden party.
You may want to include live music, multiple courses, wine flights or bespoke cocktails, all of which add to the luxury and personalisation to your guest’s experience.
Many venues now offer multiple smaller spaces for more intimate gatherings. Some nearlyweds choose to invest more in a high-quality experience for a select group of loved ones. Consider a destination location or an elopement for your micro wedding. A celebrant-led ceremony perfectly encapsulates the romance and intimacy of these smaller, more personal weddings.
2025 Wedding Trends no 9: Live Wedding Illustrators
Of course, guests could snap a photo on their phone, but nothing compares to having a moment captured in a live painting or drawing, right before everyone’s eyes. It’s like stepping into Bridgerton, it exudes culture and elegance. According to the latest National Wedding Survey, couples are increasingly prioritizing personalization and guest experience. So, it’s no wonder that live wedding painters and artists are becoming one of the biggest trends for 2025.
