2025 Wedding Trends (part one)
In the 2025 Wedding Trends report released by Hitched, https://www.hitched.co.uk we see the shift in wedding trends is moving away from sleek and chic and more towards bold and colourful. In this three-part series, I explore how these trends can inspire you. They can be incorporated into your wedding day to ensure you have the day of your dreams and memories that will last a lifetime!
2025 Wedding Trends No 1: A Burst of Colourful Wedding Flowers
Neutral colour palettes have held the spotlight for a while, but in 2025, expect a vibrant resurgence of colourful wedding flowers. Searches for ‘colourful bridal bouquet’ have soared by 266% since last year. This highlights the growing demand for creative, eye-catching floral arrangements.
Wedding bouquets and arrangements in 2025 will be brimming with variety. They will feature mix-and-match colour palettes as well as striking one-tone blooms and clashing colour schemes.
When planning your vibrant wedding décor, don’t forget to incorporate these bright colour palettes into your stationery, cakes and bakes, tablescapes and decorations!
2025 Wedding Trends No 2: Content Creators
Giving their wider circle the ‘first look’ from their day on social media is becoming increasingly popular amongst today’s couples.
This is particularly true for those Gen Z couples who are beginning to tie the knot. That’s where wedding content creators come in.
Content Creators will capture every moment of your wedding – and maybe even make them go viral! Searches for Wedding Content Creator are up 586%.
Not to be confused with wedding photographers and videographers, Content Creators capture instantaneous, Behind The Scenes and Social-first content. Check in with your photographer and videographer ahead of hiring a content creator to ensure everyone works well as a team. Think Social trends, unedited shots, instant content.
2025 Wedding Trends No 3: Heart-Shaped Wedding Cakes
Love is in the air – and on the dessert table! Heart-shaped wedding cakes are on the rise. As more nearlyweds seek to add a cute and kitschy touch of romance to their celebrations.
The majority of heart-shaped cakes I am seeing align perfectly with the retro wedding aesthetic that’s trending right now. Think frilly icing, bright colours, and hand-piped captions.
Cake makers are also showcasing their creativity with tilted cakes adorned with dried flowers and unique couple’s cakes. Each boasting a different flavour. These smaller cakes come with an accompanying sweet selection, including cake pops, cookies, and cupcakes. Yum!
